Charles Grandison Finney History
In 1830, when American revivalist Charles Grandison Finney (1792-1875) ministered in Rochester, New York, shops were closed so that people could attend his meetings.
As a result of the changed hearts, the town alcoholic bars went out of business and many prostitutes got converted.
Religion was the topic of conversation in the house, in the shop, in the office, and on the street.
Finney converted around 500,000 people to Christianity in his lifetime
